Local Hours Beta Program

📢 Important: This is a beta version for testing purposes only. By using this platform, you agree to these beta testing terms.

1. Beta Program Overview

Welcome to the Local Hours Beta Program! You have been invited to test an early version of our platform that connects travelers with local experiences.

Purpose: This beta is designed to gather feedback, identify bugs, and improve the user experience before our public launch.

2. What to Expect

✅ Available Features:

  • Browse experiences in 50+ cities (demo data)
  • Create an account and user profile
  • Simulate booking experiences
  • Use the chat functionality
  • Switch to host mode and create experiences
  • Test the overall user interface and flow

⚠️ Limitations:

  • All data is simulated - experiences, bookings, and profiles are demo data
  • No real payments - payment processing is not active
  • No real bookings - you cannot make actual reservations
  • Data may be reset - your test data might be cleared during development
  • Bugs expected - you may encounter errors or unexpected behavior
  • Features incomplete - some functionality is still in development

3. Your Responsibilities

As a beta tester, we ask that you:

  • Provide honest feedback - both positive and negative
  • Report bugs - help us identify issues using the feedback button
  • Test thoroughly - explore different features and user flows
  • Be patient - understand this is a work in progress
  • Keep it confidential - don't share beta access broadly without permission
  • Be respectful - remember there's a human team building this

4. Data & Privacy

Data Storage: Currently, all user data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. We do not transmit your data to external servers during beta testing.

Personal Information: Please use test data only. Do not enter real credit card information or highly sensitive personal details.

Feedback: Any feedback you provide (via forms, emails, or direct communication) may be used to improve the product. Your feedback may be shared internally but will not be publicly attributed without your permission.

Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage data (page views, clicks, time on site) to understand how the platform is being used.

5. No Warranties

THE BETA PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES.

We make no guarantees about:

  • Availability (site may go down)
  • Functionality (features may not work as expected)
  • Data persistence (your data may be lost)
  • Security (use test credentials only)
  • Timeline (no commitment on when bugs will be fixed)

6. Liability Limitation

By participating in this beta, you acknowledge that:

  • Local Hours is not liable for any issues, bugs, or data loss during beta testing
  • This is a free testing program with no financial transactions
  • You use the platform at your own risk
  • We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on demo data

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Local Hours platform remain the exclusive property of Local Hours.

Your Feedback: By providing feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant Local Hours a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, implement, and modify your feedback without attribution or compensation.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Terminate the beta program at any time
  • Remove beta access for any user
  • Modify or discontinue features without notice
  • Reset or delete all beta data

You may: Stop participating in the beta at any time by simply ceasing to use the platform.

9. Beta Benefits

As a thank you for beta testing, you may receive:

  • Early access to the public launch
  • Special "Beta Tester" status or badge (if implemented)
  • Potential discounts or credits at launch (at our discretion)
  • Recognition in our "Thank You" section (with your permission)
